3 Ways to Stay Safe at Work: Tips for Covert Body Armour
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

Working can be a hazardous occupation. You never know when you might have to risk your life to keep the rest of the world safe. But how do you stay safe at work while still accomplishing your mission? The answer is covert body armour.

Covert body armour is a type of body protection that allows you to blend in and remain undetected, even while wearing protective gear. It’s important that you take all precautions necessary when working in any dangerous field. To keep yourself safe, we’ve compiled some tips for covert body armour so you can work with peace of mind.

Concealable body armour

Concealable body armour is easy to wear, easy to use, and offers a high level of protection. When buying your armour, make sure it has a stealthy finish and is designed to be worn under your clothes without being noticed. There are many different kinds of body armour that offer varying degrees of protection.

Make sure you get the appropriate level of protection for your needs. Don’t go for the cheapest option thinking it is the same thing. You’ll only be setting yourself up for failure.

Dark clothing and dark environment

Dark clothing and a dark environment are two of the most important things you can do to stay safe. Stay away from bright clothing and lights at all costs. If you have to wear bright clothing, make sure you have it covered with an additional garment.

This will help to make sure your bright lights don’t draw attention to you. Stay in a dark environment and away from lights as much as possible.

If it is not possible, try to stay in the shadows as much as possible. Dark clothing and a dark environment will help to keep your profile low. Stay away from flashy colours and high-visibility clothing, as these will only draw attention to you and make you a target. Using dark colours, such as black, blue, grey, or green, will help you go unnoticed in busy environments.

Stay in motion

In dangerous situations, stay in motion. Avoid staying in one place for too long by pacing back and forth. If you need to stand still in an area, use a prop to help you stay balanced such as a piece of furniture. By moving around, you keep your profile low. You are less likely to draw attention to yourself and more likely to be able to evade detection. If you need to make a stand, use a prop for extra support and to help you stay balanced.

Light armoured protection

If you are about to enter a dangerous situation, consider wearing light armoured protection to increase your safety. There are many different types of lightly armoured vests that provide varying degrees of protection. Make sure you get the appropriate level of protection for your needs.

If you think you need to wear light armoured protection, it’s important to let your team know. Let them know what level of protection you are wearing and how long you will be wearing it.

Let them know how they can reach you if they need to and how to remove the protection if needed. Make sure you know how to remove the protection and make sure there are no hazards that could become trapped in the protection.

Final words: Stay safe out there

Ultimately, your safety lies in your own hands. You need to make sure you’re taking all necessary precautions while out in the field and following these tips for covert body armour. Stay vigilant in your work, don’t let your guard down, and remember safety first!
