How best to approach your End of Lease Clean?

How best to approach your End of Lease Clean?

The end of lease clean is a big job that can be daunting to tackle, especially if you’re moving out of your rental property. The good news is that there are steps you can take to make the process easier and more efficient so you don’t have to waste time on cleaning tasks that aren’t necessary or important. In this blog post, I’m going to give you some tips on how best to approach your end of lease clean so that it’s easy, effective and ensures that your bond will be returned in full and on time when moving out.

Clean away from the walls

Before you begin cleaning, take a moment to consider the location of your walls. While this may seem like an obvious step, many people do not think about how their walls will affect their cleaning efforts. If you’re working in a closet or small room, it’s easy to forget that there are other areas that need attention as well.

For example:

  • Cleaning around the edges of the room is key! It can be tempting when working with small spaces to focus on clearing out closets and drawers and forgetting about everything else. But if you don’t take the time to scrub down those corners, your chances of doing a thorough job will decrease significantly (and any guests who come over later may notice).
  • The same goes for cleaning along baseboards—even if they look clean initially, dust tends to build up over time in these areas due to airflow patterns caused by heating/cooling systems circulating air throughout apartments during winter months (or whatever season happens outside). Plus there are usually lots of germs hiding out here too so make sure there isn’t any dirt left behind before sweeping away anything else!
