Clean away from the walls
Before you begin cleaning, take a moment to consider the location of your walls. While this may seem like an obvious step, many people do not think about how their walls will affect their cleaning efforts. If you’re working in a closet or small room, it’s easy to forget that there are other areas that need attention as well.
For example:
- Cleaning around the edges of the room is key! It can be tempting when working with small spaces to focus on clearing out closets and drawers and forgetting about everything else. But if you don’t take the time to scrub down those corners, your chances of doing a thorough job will decrease significantly (and any guests who come over later may notice).
- The same goes for cleaning along baseboards—even if they look clean initially, dust tends to build up over time in these areas due to airflow patterns caused by heating/cooling systems circulating air throughout apartments during winter months (or whatever season happens outside).
