How would you feel if you are using an eco-friendly product? Would it matter to you? If so, then you are an environmentally friendly person. You are aware that even the little things you do affect the environment.
From choosing your paper to use, care for one’s face, and house toiletries, yes, your simple choices can acknowledge and compliment the importance of taking care of our planet.
These days, buying things online is an easy task. In buying environmentally friendly products, one can visit an eco-friendly online store and maybe find out the story behind the store itself.
An Environmental Vision
Companies usually consider three aspects of community impact called the 3 P’s – People, Planet, and Profits in business. The first two deal with environmental stewardship and social concerns, while the last deals with financial success.
Thus, a company should consider its impact on our planet as they go about with their business. It is also, for this reason, some companies have environmental aspects infused in their vision statements.
A vision is a picture of what the company wants to achieve in the generations to come, based on the goals and aspirations. Associated with these visions are company initiatives that promote environmental protection and awareness. Cities go for these initiatives – and that is the green initiatives.
Go for Green Initiatives
Let us consider the Ford company. It uses sustainable fabrics in its vehicles, and those two vehicles are made up of 80% recyclable products. Disney, on the other hand, had a zero-waste policy. A company called eBay promotes awareness that people can exchange their used goods instead of throwing them away – now that is very eco-friendly indeed.
But we should also make sure that these products are compliant with existing policies related to environmental laws. Nike, whose supplies came from 52 countries, ensured that these suppliers have developed “written” policies that are implemented.
However, aside from the fact that the company can reuse resources, save on costs, and meet requirements regarding compliance – they help brand recognition among customers as well. A brand is now being recognized as having recycled almost 13 million plastic bottles and made some flashy, light, and comfortable flats – and have gone viral in the streets of Manhattan.
On the other hand, the famous shoe company Adidas has partnered with an organization that raised awareness about plastics in the ocean. Plastics are being gathered in the beaches before it reaches the ocean, and guess, for what? Right, a pair of shoes.
Aside from plastic bottles, newspapers are also being recycled into products such as those in cat toiletry. Discarding roof shingles are now being recycled into improvised road pavements. Even unused, shaved-off rubbers are recycled into tennis balls.
Indeed, there are many brands out there that you are not aware of that are recycled products. One can find them in an eco friendly online store. You will be surprised to find personal necessities are environmentally friendly and cost-efficient.
Conclusion
Today’s generation’s success is not complete if the next, and even the next generations, are not considered. And so, we are reminded to practice preserving and taking care of our planet. Our dear children and their children will suffer if we choose not to be environmentally friendly in this present generation. So, let us go for eco-friendly products!
