2020 was a hectic year with COVID-19 forcing us all inside and trying to stay safe. But, at the same time, it became the birth of a new market; virtual entertainment. A lot of businesses adapted to virtual services and meetings making physical in-person events almost nonexistent.
But, are virtual events here to stay now that we’re entering a post pandemic era?
As we move forward in 2021, we now have vaccines, and some places around the world are starting to allow in-person events. But, what 2020 taught us during the era of COVID-19 is that there are some advantages to hosting a virtual event. These events are here to stay and even in a post-pandemic world virtual events will still be a part of the new normal.
Virtual events have a big economic opportunity for businesses
Virtual events or shows have some advantages as opposed to in-person events. Most of the time an in-person gathering or event requires traveling, catering, cocktails, production costs, and other expenses. Right now businesses have the opportunity to use some of their budgets to recover from the economic hardships they faced in 2020.
Virtual events are also easier to round up a large group for a conference, show, or event, especially if they’re from different parts of the country or world. Plus it’s also easier to go to virtual events versus in-person events when scheduling is an issue.
New organizations that are outsourcing or including partners across the globe can use virtual events to network easier. An in-person event like this would take a series of planning and scheduling when an event planner can easily send a virtual conference hyperlink and time via email.
Virtual platforms allow for better interactive events
Virtual events when done right is more interactive than an in-person show. Virtual platforms like Zoom allow hosts to interchange the panels and highlight guests or speakers in a webinar or meeting. Although you can do some of this in a live in-person event, virtual shows have more capabilities to really make a virtual event include everyone.
Virtual events also allow opportunities for businesses to bring in polls, voting, and much more engagement with employees. Since everyone is on a computer, it makes facilitation much easier for a presenter or host to get everyone to take action.
Successful virtual events depend on how creative you are
Although virtual events can bridge the gap between clients, employees, and partners across the globe, event planners need to get creative when hosting one. Nobody wants another boring Zoom meeting. This is why event planners need to get creative with events and hire the right entertainer or MC for their corporate events. A virtual magician can be a perfect host and facilitator for online events during a post-pandemic world. A little magic can really make an ordinary meeting into an unforgettable experience.
There are tons of magicians that went virtual during the pandemic and have mastered the magic behind virtual platforms like Zoom, Google Meets, Blue Jeans, WebEx, and others. If you need an event MC, a virtual magician is a perfect candidate for hosting, incorporating a business agenda, and providing mind-bending entertainment.
Virtual entertainment is the future
Virtual events are a part of the new normal and there is now a huge demand for virtual hosts. Even with COVID-19 vaccines, people are still uneasy about attending in-person events. Vaccination is still limited in supply and the process is more complex than it seems. But, as we wait on the unknown and how COVID-19 continues to impact the world, virtual events will still entertain, provide businesses with new opportunities and still connect people from all over the world.
