Electric Shuffle, the innovative activity bar that has transformed the traditional game of shuffleboard, is making its North West UK debut in Manchester this summer. Scheduled to open its doors on 21 June, this exciting new venue promises an electrifying experience for locals and visitors alike.
What Is Electric Shuffle?
Electric Shuffle combines the thrill of table shuffleboard with beautiful interiors, top-notch hospitality, delicious cocktails, and mouthwatering food. The brainchild of Red Engine, the same company behind the popular Flight Club, Electric Shuffle has already made waves in London, Leeds, Dallas, and Austin. Now, it’s set to take Manchester by storm. Table shuffleboard (also known as American shuffleboard, indoor shuffleboard, slingers, shufflepuck, and quoits, sandy table) is a game in which players push metal-and-plastic weighted pucks (also called weights or quoits) down a long and smooth wooden table into a scoring area at the opposite end of the table. Shooting is performed with the hand directly, as opposed to deck shuffleboard’s use of cue sticks.
The Venue
Located at 201 Deansgate, the Manchester bar spans an impressive 11,400 square feet and can accommodate up to 450 people. As you step inside, you’ll be greeted by an industrial-meets-art-deco ambiance—a perfect blend of retro charm and modern aesthetics. The space features multiple semi-private shuffleboard areas, a central bar, and ample room for dining and socializing.
Next-Level Shuffleboard
But this isn’t your average shuffleboard experience. Electric Shuffle has gone digital, incorporating cutting-edge technology to enhance the game. Here’s what sets it apart:
· Immersive Team Games: Gather your friends and team up for four immersive shuffleboard games. With camera-vision technology tracking every puck and capturing those winning moments with action replays, the excitement reaches new heights.
· Up to 32 Players: Invite a crowd! Electric Shuffle accommodates up to 32 players, making it ideal for team-building events, corporate socials, or memorable nights out.
· Mini-Games: Alongside traditional shuffleboard, there are multiple mini-games to keep things interesting. Try your hand at hitting specific targets with your puck—it’s a challenge that adds an extra layer of fun.
Steve Moore, Red Engine’s CEO, expressed his excitement about bringing Electric Shuffle to Manchester. He emphasized that the warm reception Flight Club received over the past five years fueled their enthusiasm. From couples’ date nights to corporate gatherings, Electric Shuffle aims to be a place where friends create lasting memories.
Alex Hill, representing First Site, facilitated the lease deal for Red Engine.
So if you’re in the UK this summer, mark your calendars for 21 June and get ready to shuffle, sip cocktails, and make memories at Electric Shuffle’s Manchester location!
